COMING TO KICKSTARTER 2022
Welcome to the council of the Round Table. The council meets with various nobles, knights, and members of the Kingdom frequently. This is where you make your move...
As Queen Guinevere or the Corrupt Knight Mordred, you must meet with the council, and earn the loyalty of their swords, in order to kill the other, and claim the rule of Brittany for yourself.
The Executioner follows the orders of the council concensus, whereas the sneaky Assassin follows only the pockets of a wealthy few. Will you employ their services quick enough, or will you fall prey to the politics of the council?
First, decide which of you will play as Queen Guinevere, and which of you will play as the Corrupter Mordred. Then take the corresponding cards and place in front of you.
Second, place all 16 swords to one side, in piles per colour. This forms the council armoury, which you will be claiming from during the game, placing swords on the ‘influence’ box of your Queen or Corrupter player card.
Next, shuffle the remaining cards and place this deck face down to one side of the table. Draw four cards from this deck, and place face up in a row between the two players. This forms the council for this round.
Draw a hand of 6 cards (or back up to 6), starting first with the player playing as the Corrupter Mordred. These are your subjects, who you will be sending to meet with advisors from the council.
Looking at the abilities of each of your subjects in your hand, place 1 subject face down in front of each of the advisors of the council.
Starting with the player playing as Queen Guinevere, and then taking turns, reveal 1 face down subject and enact it’s orders, claiming swords to your influence and advisors as stated.
Once all subjects are revealed and orders completed, shuffle all face up cards on the table and place at the bottom of the deck. Then proceed to ‘Prepare the Council’ and continue playing until one player successfully reveals a Vanquish card and matches it’s win condition.
